[identity profile] chamisa.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] vintage_recipes

My edition is from 1970, but I don't think it had changed since original publication. This book is really wonderful, not just for the recipes and illustrations themselves, but also because the author wrote (and quite wonderfully) about her life growing up, and about how PF came to be, and there's also a section on antique cookbooks and cookery, some recipes from which I will post separately.

Here I've got a Beef Stroganoff recipe for [livejournal.com profile] whobyfire78, along with several other recipes, including

Boeuf Stroganoff Without Panic, Ground Beef a La Lindstrom

Pink Soup

Dutch Apple Cake

Since when is "borscht" a long Russian name, I wonder? Heeee.

I may have to try those beet-beef patties, though. They sound interesting!

I was wondering the same thing about the Borscht.. maybe they didn't know how to spell it right?
