A while ago, a friend of mine sent me an envelope containing recipe cards. This was something he's just picked at random to send me; he had no idea at the time of my love for vintage recipes! I'd never opened them, because I just liked the looks of them in the envelope. With a copyright of 1973, these were part of a collection called Complete Family Recipe Card Series Collection of which I haven't been able to find any more.

The front of the envelope, with the clear window.

The back of the envelope. The cards came with a perferation down the middle so they could be torn apart for filing.

This is Series 5. And the first card tells you how much meat to buy for your family, and other meaty facts:

These cards feature the rich, over-saturated photography that I love so much. I'll be pasting more as I scan them in.
